To have my husband as my true family! Because those other folks don't count because I didn't pick them. And I'm very thankful to have survived the layoffs.
It's been a rough year for me, but I'm thankful I'm not spending Thanksgiving alone, and that I have a roof over my head. It's the most simple things that we are really lucky to have in life.
I'll tell you what I am thankful for, two chicks at one time.
I'm happy to have ended up in a cool city, with a cool girlfriend and a pretty cool job. This year has been a whirlwind.
Boobs
That she could have flat-out said no, but she didn't. So there's still a chance...
And I'm thankful Daniel knows a cool city when he sees one... :)
I am thankful to have known love this year.
President Barack Obama.
At the risk of sounding cliche, I am thankful my family, my job, my health. I know too many people who have lost one or more of all those things this year.
I am thankful for finding a new job that I enjoy, marrying a guy who makes me happier than I've ever been, having a family that I love (even when they drive me nuts), and the hilarious hivemind that is shared amongst me and my friends.
this year has been a rough one. i've lost my job, school's tough, i'm always worried about money and i'm having trouble making new friends in this new city. however, i'm thankful for my old friends that i can lean on. i'm also thankful for my family, my physical health, prozac, sweet sweet music, dr. mario and grand theft auto, soybeans and other food, barack obama, roofage over my head, puppies, cute overload, the shiba inu puppy cam, the daily puppy, cheeba and booze, that my '91 volvo is running fine, and lastly, that i'll always call chicago home no matter where i'm living. i can't wait until i get to go home over xmas! :')
new this week - keyboard, speakers, ability to breathe.
Finding my mate, and the bonus is that his family is supernice. Though being more traditional is making me itchy. Also, figuring out the root of a pesky health problem. And awesome friends. Comfy home. Lovely cat. And my super sis.
Lots and lots to be thankful for.
I lost a lot this year- job, apartment, friends- moved cross country. And even though I'm homesick, I'm thankful I found a place to stay and a job. For a while there, I was worried I'd be homeless and go nuts. I'm lucky I have my sisters and my Mom, and also my friends who were so supportive of me---and of course, Mr. M, the most mysterious yet amazing cat ever.
schweppy is thankful for the american indians for letting us have their country.
I'm thankful that my friend's dilemma is over and she can move on, that the wedding planning is behind us and the thank you notes are almost finished, that I have a pretty great boss even though my job sucks sometimes, that I have a great partner who is understanding most of the time. That I didn't lose my mind this year. That I'm trying to improve myself and it seems to be working. Also, that my family and friends are healthy.
Spending last night with the new girl. I didn't get much sleep, and I may fall asleep in the mashed potatoes, but I'll be thinking about her.
I would be thankful if PMan would give some (lots) of details.
I'm also thankful that I have a job, a roof over my head, a great boyfriend. I'm thankful I found a good person to rent out my place. I'm thankful that mine and the bf's cats are almost bff. I'm thankful that I have a great sister and an awesome relationship with her. And I'm thankful that Obama ran a good campaign, got lots of people out to vote and won.
Details, please:
OK,
I didn't fall asleep in the mashed potatoes, but I barely said a word. The turkey was dry, but they served ham too, and I had a bunch of that.

The fact that I can count on the annual friends Thanksgiving. It's so nice to see everyone in one place just having a great time. We're all so busy throughout the year, but there is always Thanksgiving!
I am also looking forward to rocking out to some Rock Band following my binge!
