MarathonPundit nicely captures in a phrase the whiff that will follow Senator Burris around Washington. I used to (cruelly) refer to Congressman Hastert as "Denny Hastert (R-Brisket)." Now we have "Roland Burris (D-Blagojevich)."

My rip-off? This is crediting a post at the link. That was the whole point--that I thought the (D-Blagojevich) was a clever phrase by somebody else.

Unless you're talking about the brisket thing, because I'm pretty sure John Kass never referred to Denny Hastert as being the Republican from Brisket.
