Chicago Wine and Food Festival
Sam's Wines & Spirits presents the
Inaugural Chicago Wine and Food Festival on October 26, 2003 at the Finkl Steel Loft (2011 N Southport). The full day schedule features over 100 wines and 20 restaurants, including cheese tastings, olive oil sampling,
Vosges truffle tasting and education, cooking classes, wine seminars, just to name a few of the day's events. The event lasts from 11 a.m. through 7 p.m. with chefs on hand from each of the participating restaurants to answer questions. Live music and parking provided on site.
Horrorfest Film Festival
The annual
Chicago Horrorfest Film Festival gets underway at the
3 Penny Cinema, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave. from 3pm to midnight. It's an all-ages event, featuring the U.S. premier of
Unearthly Harvest and Andy Warhol's
Frankenstein (X). Hosted by Gothic Chicago's Mistress Xena. More info on the

Akram Khan Company
Kaash, the Hindi word for if, explores the forces of creation and destruction--from the power of Hindu gods to the black holes of modern physics. Come to the
