Joe Raglani, Silvum, Glass Bath, Eavil @ Nihilist

If you're low on cash, dying to head to Chinatown on Friday, and aching for some head-clearing synth drone/soundscape, come to Nihilist (2255 S. Michigan Ave., 9 p.m., $5 at the door) and hear two out of towners and two locals: Joe Raglani (St. Louis), Silvum (Champaign, IN), Glass Bath and Eavil (both Chicago).

Get Drunk with Vince Neil

Yeah, totally not kidding about this one. Seems that the former Motley Crue frontman is putting out his own brand of tequila (and no, it's not called "Dr. Feelgood." It's called Tres Rios.) And he's doing a tasting of it at the Binny's Ivanhoe Castle in Wrigleyville on March 23 from 6 pm to 7 pm. Sounds good, hrm? I bet there will be girls, girls, girls.

JazzFood @ Vintage Wine Bar

JazzFood, a jazz trio featuring Drive-Thru writer Alan Lake, plays Vintage Wine Bar, 1942 W. Division St., from 7:30pm to 11:30pm. Expect an eclectic mix of ballads, bossa nova and blues jazz to go with your wine. No cover, 21 and over.

Ellen Allien @ Smart Bar
