Purple Asparagus, the local nonprofit devoted to promoting and enjoying good food, is hosting its second-annual Project Dine Out at Uncommon Ground from 5-7pm. The evening includes a family-style meal made with locally grown or produced ingredients, such as Gunthorp Farm pulled-pork sandwiches, heirloom tomato bruschetta with fresh mozarella, and carrot and zucchini fritters with Capriole goat cheese. Tickets are $40 for adults and $20 for kids under 13; adults can pay an extra $10 for a drinks package along with their meal. Tickets are available from Brown Paper Tickets. Garfield Park's Julius Caesar is hosting this exhibition in collaboration with the Morrison-Shearer Foundation of Northbrook. Five films show dancer Sybil Shearer in rare and never-before-seen sequences, demonstrating her significance as both a contained and unbounded modern dancer.
