The Illinois Artisan's Shop presents the Ethnic Arts Bazaar, featuring the work of a dozen Illinois artists. Yesterday and today from 10am to 3:30pm in the James R. Thompson Center Atrium, 100 W. Randolph St.
Sample tomatoes and eat good food tonight at 6pm at the Slow Food Chicago Tomato Festival and Potluck Supper at the Chicago Honey Coop, 3740 W. Fillmore. Tickets are $15.00 for Slow Food members and Honey Coop members + potluck dish $20.00 for non-members + potluck dish. RSVP required.

The classic film The Right Stuff will be screened for free in Grant Park at 8pm tonight, on the eve of the 50th anniversary of the Chicago Air & Water Show. The screening is sponsored by the Illinois Science Council and the Chicago Public Library, the latter of which has chosen the book on which the film is based as this fall's One Book, One Chicago selection.
