Fischerspooner @ Metro

The electronic music duo Fischerspooner is best known for their dramatic stage performances and being at the forefront of the electroclash craze some years ago, but they didn't disappear when that fad faded. Instead they adjusted their style, invested tons of resources into new material and ended up with their biggest success ("Never Win") on their second record. Now it's 2009 and the group is back with a new record, Entertainment (possibly a nod to Gang of Four?), and another exhilarating stage show titled Between Worlds that visits Metro this evening. And even though the duo's based out of New York, Warren Fischer and Casey Spooner actually met while studying at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. SSION opens at 8pm.
