Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival

The Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival runs Friday through Sunday along Milwaukee Avenue between California and Ridgeway avenues, centered on the Logan Square Centennial Monument. The free street fair features over 150 artists in over 20 open galleries, diverse food & drink options, local vendors, a free shuttle and two live music stages. Here's tonight's music schedule

The Gene Siskel Film Center presents a screening of Steven Soderbergh's critically acclaimed film The Girlfriend Experience. BROADZILLA! The Burlesque Beast @ Exit

BROADZILLA! The Burlesque Beast will be unleashed tonight, Friday July 31st at Exit (1315 W North Avenue). The Vaudezilla Vixens with be strutting their stuff in two different shows at 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. Red Hot Annie, Wham Bam Pam, Donna Touch are some of the featured performers in this free show. Yelp Summerfest @ Irish American Heritage Center

Yelp Chicago is at it again! Those crazy kids are putting out the spread, some music, and loads of fun at this year's Yelp Summerfest. This year's Summerfest will be held at the Irish American Heritage Center (4626 N Knox Ave) on 31 July, and will feature the Yelp Beer Garden, live entertainment (including Rockstar Live Band Karaoke), and tasty treats from local restaurants and bakeries.

Hollywood Holt/Hey Champ @ Sonotheque

Spandexxx.007 hosts this "official Lollapalooza pre-party" with local Lolla '09 artists Hollywood Holt and Hey Champ performing live. Moneypenny (formerly Rocktapussy), also a Lolla '09 artist, and Bald E. (Lolla '08 alum) will provide the DJ sets for the evening. 1444 W. Chicago. 9pm. 21 & up. Free. Printers' Ball & GB Get-Together

The annual Printers' Ball is tonight, and we're making it the venue for the monthly GB Get-Together! Join us at Columbia College's Ludington Building, 1104 S. Wabash Ave., on the first and eighth floors for an exploration of the city's print and online publication scene, a couple dozen readings, a poetry slam and music by CHIRP DJ Carrie Weston and Baby Alright. Sponsored by Glunz Beer, who will be serving complementary Lagunitas, Hofbrau, Chimay and Founders beer to guests over 21. The Ball runs from 5pm to 11pm; we'll be near the bar!
