The Old town School of Folk Music presents Fiddlepalooza, a special evening of American and Finnish old-time music featuring The Polka Chicks from Helsinki and The Mostly Mountain Boys from Washington, DC. This is technically a fiddle class, although banjo players, guitarists, accordionists and lovers of old-time music are all welcome. Get a preview of the 2010 Taste of Chicago at Daley Plaza, where you can try out "Taste Portions" of select menu items that will be available at the big event this June 25-July 4 in Grant Park. Admission is free, but bring cash if you plan on eating anything. 11am-2pm. 50 W. Washington.
Every Tuesday the Museum of Contemporary Art presents free live jazz concerts from some of the city's most legendary and innovative musicians. Tonight's performance features Brent Kimbrough. Grab some friends and a blanket for a relaxing evening on the garden lawn, or make a night of it with a reservation at Puck's.
