Ten Suicides in-store @ Reckless Records (Wicker Park location)

Prior to Sunday night's Eyehategod/Nachtmystium concert at the Empty Bottle, Reckless Records (1532 N. Milwaukee) will host an in-store performance by Ten Suicides, an ad-hoc experimental unit featuring members of Eyehategod, Outlaw Order, The Guilt of..., Bloodyminded, Anatomy of Habit, and The Fortieth Day. The project will perform a long-form noise/electronic piece based on the Bloodyminded song "Ten Suicides," an ode to friends and loved ones who have left earth too soon, and by their own hand. The show is free (unless you choose to stay and buy records, of course) at starts promptly at 3:00 p.m.

Eyehategod, Nachtmystium, The Atlas Moth, Yakuza, Bongripper @ Empty Bottle

The Empty Bottle hosts two consecutive nights of nasty sludge rock, blackened metal, and other atrocities, headlined both nights by Louisiana legends Eyehategod, now "celebrating" their 22nd year of existence, and Nachtmystium, a local unit that has moved from lockstep Black Metal (in caps) to a new prototype model encompassing psychedelic and improvisational musical forces. Slow Food Chicago Summer Solstice Potluck Supper @ Chicago Honey Coop

(RESCHEDULED FROM 6/18) Join fellow foodies tonight from 4-7pm at the Chicago Honey Coop (3740 West Fillmore) for a potluck dinner sponsored by Slow Food Chicago. Salmon, beer, pop and wine will be provided; bring a side dish or dessert to share; admission $10 for Slow Food Chicago/Chicago Honey Coop members; everyone else $15.

Rock & Roll Cinema: The Blues Brothers @ Empty Bottle

The Empty Bottle presents the latest in their Rock & Roll Cinema series of film screenings. Tonight's film is the John Landis classic The Blues Brothers, starring John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd and the city of Chicago. "They broke my watch!" Film starts at 7pm, and admission is free! Chicago Dance Crash Auditions

Chicago Dance Crash is hosting auditions to join their elite dance crew for the 2011 season. Dance Crash is looking for athletic contemporary dancers to either join as ensemble members or are willing to be guest artists. Walk-ins are welcome, however it is encouraged that you RSVP to Mark Hackman at mhackman@chicagodancecrash.com. Auditions are being held at the Visceral Dance Center, 2820 N. Elston Ave., and sign-in starts at 2:30 pm.

Women in the Attic Reading Series

Starting at 7:00pm, this first ever reading at the Attic, 2846 W 21 Street, 3rd Floor features an evening of fine literature with works by Leila Wilson, Fiona Cook, Rebecca Cooling-Mallard, Laura Goldstein, Cait Rappel, Noor Shawaf and installation of works on paper by Katie McCarty.
