The Lakeview East Festival of the Arts runs today and Sunday on Broadway Avenue from Belmont to Roscoe. View works by more than 150 artists, enjoy food and music and browse the shops along the corridor. The festival runs from 10am to 6pm today. $5 suggested donation. Here's the music schedule:

Lincoln Square's 91st annual German-American Festival runs Friday through Sunday at the intersection of Lincoln, Leland and Western, featuring German music, dancing and, of course, beer. The Von Steuben Parade starts at 2pm and runs from 4000 N. Lincoln up to the festival, which runs from 2pm to 10pm today. Admission is free.
The Renegade Craft Fair returns to its home town this weekend, with more than 300 vendors selling their wares on Division Street between Damen and Paulina from 11am to 7pm today and Sunday. Free.
The A.V. Club host their first-ever music festival, featuring Hum, Archers of Loaf, The Thermals, Tokyo Police Club, Maps & Atlases, and half a dozen others. $10 suggested donation at the door, from noon to 10pm at The Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave. It's also happening September 11.
The Punk rock reading series Neutron Bomb collaborates with the Handshake (an online literary publication) for a Columbia College centric Back II Cool extravaganza. Readings by Columbia College Fiction Writing students and faculty, Handshake contributors and even a band.

The Windy City Wine Festival runs Sept. 9-10 at Buckingham Fountain in Grant Park. Sample wine from more than 30 wineries, snack on food from local restaurants and enjoy the outdoors. The festival runs from 3pm to 9pm today. Tickets are $27 in advance or $35 at the door; designated drivers get in for just $10.
Tonight at 9pm, the Everleigh Social Club, 939 W. Randoph St., hosts Whiskey Raw, a tasting of white whiskeys accompanied by appropriate passages read by Naked Girls Reading. It's part of the Liquid Chicago series. Tickets are $20. 21+
The Music Box presents the latest screening in their Second Saturday Silent Cinema series, the 1919 classic The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. The screening begins at noon, and the film will be accompanied by Music Box organist Dennis Scott. Tickets are $10 each, or $8 for students and seniors.
