Hunx and His Punx @ Subterranean

Subterranean welcomes Hunx and His Punx tonight with opening guests Hunters and Chit Chat. Show starts at 7:30pm, admission is $10, and it's an all-ages show. Subterranean: 2011 W. North Avenue. (773) 278-6600.

Story Club @ Co-Prosperity Sphere

Story Club's South Side chapter has a list theme tonight at Co-Prosperity Sphere, 3219 S. Morgan St. Aubrey Henretty, Gwynn Fulcher and Paul Whitehouse tell true stories involving lists of some sort, as do three people who sign up at the event. Andrew Marikis hosts. Doors open and sign-up starts at 7:30pm, show starts at 8pm. Free, but $5 donation requested. BYOB.

Solo in the 2nd City: Sweatin' in Chicago @ Beauty Bar

This month's Solo in the 2nd City Reading Series features author Joe Meno, Tequila Tales host Isaac Paul, comedian Bobby Hill, and storyteller Dena Saper. The performers share stories of single, sex, and dating in our fair city. Hosts are bloggers and storytellers Carly Oishi & Melinda McIntire. Event starts at 8:00 PM at Beauty Bar, 1444 W. Chicago Avenue. The event is 21 and over and free. Donations are collected for Chicago Women's Health Center.

The Pungent Parlour #7

This is the seventh installment of monthly live-lit reading series hosted by Jeff Phillips and Jeremy Solomon, The Pungent Parlour, the event itself is a hodgepodge of poignant prose, frank essays, and jest filled fiction. This month's diverse lineup features Accidently Sexy's Ana Fernatt, Wood Sugars' Donny Rodriguez, Andrew O'Connor, Rachel Blau,and Scott Barrons. The reading is held in the back room of the Black Rock Pub & Kitchen (3614 N. Damen Ave), doors open at 8, storytelling begins at 8:30 and there's no price of admission.
