Chance the Rapper @ Riviera Theatre
Chicago's favorite chain-smoking, name-dropping, Frank-Ocean-listenin' MC plays the Riviera Theatre, 4746 N. Racine, on Thanksgiving eve. After Chance's Acid Rap made waves in hip hop this summer, expect nothing less than complete chaos at this hometown show. With DJ Rashad and Spin also on the bill, tickets are $21 in advance and $23 at the door. The show begins at 7:30pm and is all ages. Doors open at 6:30pm. Preview in Transmission.
American English & Kashmir @ Abbey Pub
If you can't see the Beatles and Led Zepplin, at least there's American English and Kashmir, two excellent tribute bands performing together tonight at Abbey Pub, 3420 W. Grace St. Doors open at 7:30pm for the 8:30pm show. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door.
Juicy J @ UIC Pavilion
It may be hard out here for a pimp, and, more recently according to Lily Allen, a bitch, but things seem to be going pretty nicely for Juicy J, one of the original cofounders of Three 6 Mafia. Riding the wave of his career resurgence at age 38, Oscar-winner Juicy J plays at UIC Pavilion, 525 S. Racine Ave, tonight. Expect lewd and irresistible anthems like party banger "Bandz A Make Her Dance" and maybe even a few Three 6 Mafia throwbacks. Here's to hoping the encore is "Stay Fly." Machine Gun Kelly and Saguto are also on the bill. Tickets begin at $29, and the show starts at 8 p.m.
