The annual One of a Kind Show and Sale runs Thursday through Sunday at the Merchandise Mart, 8th floor. More than 600 juried artists, craftspeople and designers from across North America are showcasing their imaginative, handmade creations, for sale at a wide range of price points. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased online. A portion of all ticket sales will benefit Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital. For more information, see the website.
Crime novelist Jeffrey Siger reads and signs his latest book, Mykonos After Midnight, tonight at from 6:30 to 8pm at the National Hellenic Museum, 333 S. Halsted St. Read our preview in Book Club. The Drawing Room (937 N Rush St) hosts a whiskey tasting tonight at 7:00 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Repeal Day. Dark Matter Coffee and Bombshell Skateboards present Hash & Thrash, a party celebrating the release of new custom skate decks, tonight at Star Lounge, 2521 W. Chicago Ave., from 7 to 11pm tonight.
