The Chicago Motorcycle Show is at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, 5555 N. River Rd. in Rosemont, Jan. 7-9. See new and vintage bikes of all makes, meet championship racers and more. Tickets are $17 or $25 for a two-day pass, $35 for a three-day pass. The show is open from 10am to 5pm today.
My god, it's full of cars: the Chicago Auto Show opens Saturday at the McCormick Place, and runs through Feb. 17. See practically every car currently on the market, as well as plenty that aren't. Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for kids 7-12 and seniors 62 or older, and free for kids under 7. The show is open from 10am to 10pm.
Make a valentine for a heart patient at Children's Hospital today at noon at Jefferson Memorial Park, 4822 N. Long Ave., and enjoy treats and music. Free.
The Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art, 2320 W. Chicago Ave., celebrates the opening of Survival, Spirit, Dreams, Nightmares, an exhibition of works by René Hugo Arceo, Peter Dallos, Mark Nelson and Yohanan Petrovsky-Shtern, with a reception today from 2pm to 5pm. Admission is free.

The live lit series That's All She Wrote celebrates their re-launch in a new venue, The Savoy (1408 N. Milwaukee). The debut show, dubbed "That's All She Wrote Part Deux: Oysters and Absinthe," features the host of You're Being Ridiculous, Jeremy Owens; author and Chicago Sun-Times journalist Robert K Elder; award-winning poet, writer, and teacher Sage Morgan-Hubbard; and host of Story Club South Side Andrew Marikis. Hosted as always by JH Palmer and Angela Benander. Make dinner reservations at The Savoy to make a night of it, or just show up at 8m for the stories. This is a free event.
