The Chicago Motorcycle Show is at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, 5555 N. River Rd. in Rosemont, Jan. 7-9. See new and vintage bikes of all makes, meet championship racers and more. Tickets are $17 or $25 for a two-day pass, $35 for a three-day pass. The show is open from 9am to 8pm today.
My god, it's full of cars: the Chicago Auto Show opens today at the McCormick Place, and runs through Feb. 17. See practically every car currently on the market, as well as plenty that aren't. Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for kids 7-12 and seniors 62 or older, and free for kids under 7. The show is open from 10am to 10pm.
The Handmade Market is at the Empty Bottle, 1035 N. Western Ave., today from 11am to 4pm. Shop for jewelry, knitware, accessories, clothing, paper crafts and more. Admission is free. Children admitted with adult supervision, otherwise it's 21-and-over.
Over 90 ciders from around the world (U.S., England, New Zealand, France and more) will be on hand at Navy Pier, 600 E. Grand Ave., today for Cider Summit. Attendees can choose between either the afternoon (11am-3pm) or evening (4-8pm) session. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door and include a tasting glass and eight drink tickets.

The Old Town School of Folk Music present an evening of Hawaiian music by two living slack-key guitar legends: Grammy-winning artist George Kahumoku, Jr.; and NEA NAtional Heritage Fellowship recipient Ledward Kaapana. The concert starts at 8:00pm in the Maurer Concert Hall in the school's main building at 4544 North Lincoln Avenue.
