Northwestern's Center for the Writing Arts presents a conversation between The Atlantic senior editor and writer Ta-Nehisi Coates and author Alex Kotlowitz tonight at 6pm in the Peggy Dow Helmerich Auditorium in Annie May Swift Hall, 1920 Campus Dr. on Northwestern's Evanston campus. A book-signing will follow. Free and open to the public.
Jerry's- Wicker Park (1938 W. Division) hosts Oak & Iron III tonight, which features myth, music, and barrel-aged beer (from Perennial, Haymarket, Revolution, Virtue, and more). Action kicks off at 6:00 p.m. with Dýrbjörn Grimsbørg "spinning an array of fantasy-inspired prog, dungeon synth, and assorted metals, while regaling you with tales from forgotten sword-wielding cinema on our ten-foot screen."
