The Chicago Beer Festival returns to Union Station, 210 S. Canal St., today, featuring dozens of domestic and international breweries sampling their seasonal beers. There are two sessions, 1pm to 4pm and 6pm to 9pm. Tickets are $40 in advance only -- no walk-ups -- and include a souvenir glass and 30 tasting tickets. 21+

The Rebuilding Exchange celebrates five years of serving Chicago with the Salvagers' Ball tonight from 7 to 10pm at the new, not-yet-open Lagunitas Brewery, 2607 W. 17th St. in Pilsen. The party will feature food from Hot Chocolate, Honey Butter Fried Chicken, Endgrain and others, beer from Lagunitas, wine from Candid Wines and live music by Low Down Brass Band and DJ Tess Kisner. Enjoy a silent auction and interactive games as well.
