Chicago Fire Home Opener

Today is opening day at Toyota Park, 7000 Harlem Ave. in Bridgeview, as the Chicago Fire take on the New York Red Bulls. Kickoff is at 2pm. Tickets are $20-50.

"M"... is for Murder @ The Peanut Gallery

Artist, Corinne Halbert, will have a solo exhibition at the Peanut Gallery tonight from 5-9pm. The exhibition "M"...is for Murder features a maniacal mouse named "Mikee" and his beloved "Minee". The event, located at, 1000 N. California Ave, is free and open to the public.

Newport Jazz Festival: Now at 60

The Old Town School of Folk Music presents Newport Jazz Festival: Now at 60, a celebration of the legendary festival's history and current role in the jazz world, tonight at 5pm in Maurer Hall, 4544 N. Lincoln Ave. The show features performances by Anat Cohen, Karrin Allyson, Randy Brecker, Mark Whitfield, Peter Martin, Clarence Penn and Larry Grenadier. Tickets are $40, $38 for members.

2nd Story Fundraiser @ Revolution Brewing

2nd Story holds their annual fundraiser at Revolution Brewing on Sunday, March 23 from 6pm-8pm. Game On: Stories of Turning It Up will feature seasoned storytellers Bobby Biedrzycki and Margaret Marion sharing tales of triumph and destruction. Tickets are $40, and include 2 hours of unlimited tasting of Revolution's signature food and brews. This event is 21+. Buy tickets here.

Jon Langford & Skull Orchard @ Hideout

Jon Langford and his band Skull Orchard celebrate the release of their latest album, Here Be Monsters, with a show tonight at the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave. Special guest Daniel Knox opens. Doors are at 6pm, show's at 7pm. Tickets are $10 in advance or at the door. 21+
