International Vintage Poster Fair
Today through Sunday, March 30, the International Vintage Poster Fair will be taking place at the Chicago Cultural Center, 77 E. Randolph St. . This year the exhibition will feature posters which present products and technology that emerged far before our present time. There's a preview party tonight from 5 to 9pm; admission is $20.
JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound @ Cubby Bear
WXRT presents a "Back to Baseball" concert with JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound and the Lowdown Brass Band at the Cubby Bear, 1059 W. Addison St., tonight at 8pm. Tickets are are $20 in advance, $24 at the door. 21+
Art Institute After Dark
The Art Institute hosts its After Dark event in the Modern Wing, 159 E. Monroe St., tonight from 9pm to midnight. Enjoy complimentary appetizers with a cash bar featuring mixology by Adam Seger, view the Christopher Wool exhibition, and more. Admission is $25 adults, $20 members and students, and $15 for Evening Associates. Advance tickets are sold out, but a limited number will be available at the door.
Girl Group Chicago @ Empty Bottle
Girl Group Chicago headlines the Empty Bottle, 1035 N. Western Ave., tonight at 9:30pm, with the Blue Ribbon Glee Club and the Ladies of Soul DJs opening. Tickets are $10 online or at the door. 21+
Carsick Cars @ the Burlington
Chinese indie rockers Carsick Cars visit the Burlington in support of their new album 3. They're on tour with fellow Beijingers White+. Minneapolis' Flavor Crystals rounds out the lineup. The show's 21+ and doors are at 9PM. The Burlington's at 3425 Fullerton.
