Haymarket Books and Jacobin Magazine present an evening with Labor Notes founder Kim Moody to discuss his latest book, In Solidarity, and explore methods for revitalizing the present state of the US labor movement. The presentation will be followed by a conversation with Micah Uetricht, assistant editor at Jacobin Magazine and author of Strike for America. The ninth annual Black Playwrights Festival runs April 8-13 at the Black Ensemble Theatre, 4450 N. Clark St. Each night showcases a different playwright; opening night tonight features a reading of L. Maceo Ferris's The Price of Corn, as well as a wine and cheese reception, at 7:30pm.
