The Green Metropolis Fair runs from 10am to 5pm today at the Irish American Heritage Center, 4626 N. Knox Ave. The festival features more than 100 sustainable, free trade and organic exhibitors; family-friendly entertainment and activities; and discussions and workshops on topics ranging from yoga to gardening. Admission is free.
The Randolph Street Market is back this weekend at Plumbers Hall, 1340 W. Washington St., with dozens of vendors selling antiques, vintage fashion, art and more. The show is open Saturday and today from 10am to 5pm both days. Admission is $8 in advance, $10 at the gate.
C2E2 returns to McCormick Place, 2301 S. Lake Shore Dr., this weekend, April 25-27.Meet Hulk Hogan, Gene Ha, Brian Posehn, Scott Adsit, Ernie Hudson and Stan Lee (check the guest list for details), attend sessions and walk the floor. The show's open from 11am to 5pm today; tickets are $25 in advance, #35 at the door; $5 for kids 12 and under. Three-day passes are $60 preshow, $70 at the door.
Vintage Garage opens its outdoor season today at 5051 N. Broadway from 10am to 5pm. Shop for antiques, vintage clothing, collectables, records and more. There will also be a style ride departing from the show at 11:30am; put on your vintage duds, get on your bike and ride! Admission to the show is $5.
From 11:00a.m.-3:00p.m., Canine Crews (1616 N Washtenaw) hosts the first annual Pet Health Expo. Sponsored by Canine Crews, Chicago Canine Concierge, One Tail at a Time, and Alive Rescue, the Expo showcases companies offering health-and-wellness products, from food and vitamins to dog training and veterinary care, for pets.
Story Sessions returns to Mahoney's Pub & Grille, 551 N. Ogden Ave., tonight at 6pm. The theme is "Around the World," and the storytellers include Paulette McDaniels, Bill Hillmann, Mark Schab, Jeff Miller, JH Palmer, Karen Shimmin and Robyn Okrant.
