Chicago Critics Film Festival

The Chicago Critics Film Festival returns for its second year at the Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Ave., May 9-15. Tonight's schedule is below. Tickets are $12-15 per screening, or $75 for a weekday pass, $100 for a weekend pass or $150 for a full festival pass.

- 9:45pm: El Critico

Chicago Fire Art of Futbol Show

The Chicago Fire Soccer Club will hold their fourth annual Art of Futbol tonight from 6 to 8pm at Prairie Production Studio, 1314 W. Randolph St. This one-of-a-kind art exhibition features local artists and their original work depicting the beautiful game of soccer. Guests have the opportunity to mingle with artists and Fire players while enjoying music, drinks, and light appetizers. Tickets are available here. The event is 21+.

Spektral Quartet with Julien Labro @ City Winery

The Spektral Quartet once again teams up with accordion and bandoneón phenom Julien Labro for their highly anticipated album release, From This Point Forward, tonight at City Winery, 1200 W. Randolph St. The quintet will perform works from the album, which explores contemporary South American music, beginning with Astor Piazzolla and expanding to Hermeto Pascoal, Miguel Zenón, and Fernando Otero. Doors open at 7:30pm. Tickets start at $15.
