The Thalia Hall Haul community market runs from 11am to 5pm today at the hall, 1807 S. Allsport St. Shop for local and regional food, craft and furniture vendors and check out the space. Free.
Chicago Alternative Comics Expo runs Saturday and today from 11am to 6pm at the Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted St. Attend a full day of panels, check out the vendor floor, and meet indie comic artists and writers galore. Free.
Do-Division takes over Division Street from Ashland to Leavitt with music on two stages, shopping and family fun May 30-June 1. The festival runs from noon to 10pm today.
There's also Family Fun Fest, filled with kid-friendly music and activities, running on Hoyne from Crystal to Potomac, and Crystal from Hoyne to Damen, noon to 6pm Saturday and Sunday.

Maifest returns to Lincoln Square May 29-June 1, taking over Lincoln Avenue from Leland to Western next to the Brown Line tracks. The festival runs from noon to 10pm tonight, with live music and plenty of German beer and food. Admission is free.
J Mascis, founder of Dinosaur Jr., plays a solo show tonight at the Subterranean, 2011 W. North Ave., after his Do-Division gig. Doors open at 10pm, show's at 10:30pm. $18 in advance, $20 at the door. 17+
