Hideout Veggie Bingo @ The Hideout
Wednesday night marks the return of Hideout Veggie Bingo at The Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave. Bingo games run from 5:30pm-8pm; cards are $4 each, or 3 for $10, and proceeds help support Chicago's community gardens. There's a grand prize of fresh produce from Irv and Shelly's Fresh Picks and a cornucopia of other prizes drawn from local artisanal food producers, farmers, and gardeners. Miss Spoken @ Gallery Cabaret
Miss Spoken, the new female-focused reading series hosted by Rose Lannin and Carly Oishi, returns to Gallery Cabaret, 2020 N. Oakley Ave., tonight from 7 to 9pm. The topic this time is "Debt," and the lineup features Rachel Collins, Gwynn Fulcher, Anne Holub and Natasha Mulholland. Free. 21+
Windy City Burlesque Fest
The Windy City Burlesque Fest runs June 18-21 this year. Tonight's opening party at the Lincoln Tap Room, 3010 N Lincoln Ave., features performances by more than a dozen dancers, hosted by Jenna Delgety. Admission is free, doors open at 8pm. 21+
