The Randolph Street Market is back for its monthly stint at Plumbers Union Hall, 1350 W. Washington St., from 10am to 5pm today and Sunday. Shop among over 200 vendors offering antiques, vintage fashion, collectibles, jewelry, art, records and more. Admission is $8 in advance, $10 at the door. Student and group discounts available.
Loyola University History professor Alice Weinreb shares her research on an upcoming book about how family and gender was connected to domestic food consumption and production in Cold War-era Germany today at Kendall College, 900 N. The Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival runs June 27-29 on Milwaukee Avenue between Kedzie and Diversey. The festival features live music on two stages, pop-up galleries, performance art, family activities and food from local bars and restaurants. The festival runs from noon to 10pm tonight. $5 donation requested.
Spudnik Press Cooperative is thrilled to announce the 10th annual Printers Ball: Chatter. The 10th annual celebration of literary culture and printmaking will be held at the Hubbard Street Lofts, 1821 W. Hubbard St., offering a robust schedule of performances, live printmaking demos, exhibitions, and food and drink tastings. This year's festivities will run from 4 to 9pm, and includes outdoor entertainment with a DJ set with Odd Obsession and a beer garden hosted by Maria's Packaged Goods. Admission is free.
The 30th annual World's Largest Block Party runs today and Saturday outside Old St. Patrick's Church, 700 W. Adams Ave. Headliners tonight are the Mowgli's and Third Eye Blind; doors open at 5:30pm. Tickets are $40 per day, or $70 for the weekend.
