The International Festival of Life runs July 3-6 in Union Park, 1501 W. Randolph St. Dozens of acts perform reggae, mambo, R&B, salsa, gospel, EDM and more on three stages. Tonight's featured performer is Tito Puente Jr. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the gate. The festival runs from 4 to 10pm tonight. All ages.
FitzGerald's, 6615 W. Roosevelt Rd. in Berwyn, hosts its 33rd annual American Music Festival July 2-5. More than a dozen acts play tonight, including Tributosaurus, Chuck Mead and His Grassy Knoll Boys, Pokey LaFarge and Eric Lindell; see the full schedule for details. Tickets are $30 in advance online, $35 at the door; kids under 12 get in for $5, and there's a $25 early bird discount if you arrive in the first hour. Four-day passes are $100. Doors open at 4:30pm tonight.
Catalyze Chicago and Polymathic present EEProm, a "do-over prom" for techies and computer geeks, tonight at 6pm at Catalyze's space at 650 W. Lake St., Ste 220. Dress up, party down and dance the night away. Tickets are $15 for individuals, $25 for couples; t-shirts are available for $15 each. 21+
