Arcade Brewery Launch @ Logan Arcade

Arcade Brewery leaps onto the Chicago beer scene with a launch party featuring their signature brews William Wallace Wrestle Fest Scotch Ale and Grapefruit IPA on tap. Look forward to 8-bit caricatures by artist Matthew Waite, music from local hip-hop artist Auggie the 9th, and pizza from Dimo's while supplies last. Starts at 8pm at Logan Arcade, 2410 W. Fullerton Ave.

Noir City Film Festival @ Music Box

The 6th annual Noir City Film Festival runs Aug. 29-Sept. 4 at the Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Ave. Tonight's screenings include Drunken Angel at 5 and 9:30pm and Stray Dog at 7pm. Tickets are $12 per film, or $75 for a festival pass.

Now What? A Conversation w/the Creators of Alaska & JoMama Jones

The Illinois Humanities Council presents Now What? a Conversation with the Creators of Alaska Thunderfuck and JoMama Jones, Justin Honard and Daniel Alexander Jones, tonight at the Empty Bottle, 1035 N. Western Ave. Angel Ysaguirre moderates. After the discussion, Salonathon curates drag and drag-inspired performances by Baathhaus and Big Dipper. Doors open at 6:30pm; free admission before 7:30 with RSVP; $10 at the door.

X plays Wild Gift @ City Winery

Seminal punk rock band X performs the album Wild Gift in its entirety at City Winery (1200 W. Randolph.) Doors open at 6, show starts at 8. Tickets are $35-$45 and can be purchased online or by calling 312-733-WINE (9463).

Chicago Red Hots Benefit @ FitzGerald's

The Chicago Red Hots roller derby team holds a fundraiser for their trip to the USARS finals in California at Fitzgerald's, 6615 W. Roosevelt Rd. in Berwyn, tonight at 8pm.
