Taste Around Town Begins
Taste Around Around, a two-week long wine event billed as Restaurant Week for wine lovers, starts today and runs runs through September 28. Participating restaurants, including Au Cheval, Maude's Liquor Bar, and Carriage House, are preparing select pairing menus and tasting flights with wines from Chateau Montelena, Penfolds, and Wines of France. Specials on wine by the glass or bottle will also be available for lunch and/or dinner throughout the two-week event.
World Music Festival
The World Music Festival runs Sept. 11-21 in a variety of locations around town; see the full schedule for details. All festival events are free.
Women's Words Film Fest
Pride Films & Plays presents Women's Words Film Fest, a program of seven short films and two Tello Films episodes, tonight at 7pm at the Public House Theater, 3914 N. Clark St. Tickets are $10, or $15 for VIP reserved seating.
