The Illinois Science Council sponsors this evening of understanding how chocolate is made (colors, types, textures) and why it's so delicious from a chemistry perspective tonight (6:30-8:00pm) at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum (2430 N. Cannon Dr.). Join NU professor Shelby Hatch and Blommer Chocolate R&D scientist Michelle Tisoncik for experiments and samples (of course), as well as prizes. Tickets $40.
The Lillstreet Lecture Series located at the Loft on 4437 N Ravenswood Ave. is presenting the artist and art critic, Robin Dluzen. This is the tenth and final speaker for the artist lecture series. The talk begins at 7pm and ends at 8pm. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Martyrs' presents the monthly meeting of The Moth StorySLAM. Audience members are chosen at random to deliver a five-minute monologue, and the winner (as judged by a panel of audience members) moves on to the championships.
