Through Columbia College's A+D Lecture Series, Lorelei Stewart, Director of Gallery 400 will be giving a talk titled, "Let Me Tell You a Story". Located at 623 S. Wabash, Room 203, the lecture series is FREE and open to the public. The talk will begin at 6pm.
The Old Town School of Folk Music presents Sound Opinions co-hosts Greg Kot and Jim DeRogatis, hosting a discussion of the two most popular British bands of all time. The event begins tonight at 8:00pm in the Szold Music & Dance Hall in the school's new building at 4545 North Lincoln Avenue. Tickets may be purchased online at the Old Town School Website, or call the box office at (773) 728-6000.
The First Nations Film & Video Festival runs Nov. 5-8 at various locations throughout the city, beginning with a screening tonight at 8pm at the Logan Square Comfort Station, 2579 N. Milwaukee Ave. Each screening will feature the documentary Indian 101 and a selection of shorts. Admission is free.
