The Windy City Rollers hold their season opener tonight at the UIC Pavilion, 525 S. Racine Ave. The Double Crossers face Hell's Belles, while the Fury take on the Manic Attackers. Doors open at 6pm, first bout is at 7pm. Tickets are $20-35 via TicketMaster or the box office.

Schadenfreude brings Ed Bus back to the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave., for another edition of "53rd Ward: After Dark" tonight at 6:30pm, with special guests comedian Jamie Campbell and journalist Mark Konkol. Tickets are $10. 21+
Tonight from 7 to 10pm, the Zhou B Art Center, 1029 W. 35th St., hosts its 3rd Friday Open Studios. Free and open to the public.
Schubas is hosting Chicago Calling XI, their Clash/Jam themed cover band night, for the 11th consecutive year. The night features local groups London Calling - Chicago's only Clash cover band that matters, and All Mods Conned - the celebrated and potent tribute to The Jam. All proceeds from the night go to benefit 826CHI, a local branch of the national nonprofit that helps students aged 6-18 with their creative and expository writing skills. A fun night for a great cause. Tickets are only $10. Show starts at 8:00pm at Schubas, 3159 North Southport.
