Mana Contemporary artist Amanda Gentry will be opening up her studio to the public eye today at noon until 4pm. Gentry will be inviting visitors for wine, conversation, and most importantly, a variety of bakeware, mugs and cups and an assortment of other pieces at 2233 S. Throop St., fourth floor.
The Art House gallery, located at 3446 N Albany is a studio and workshop center where exhibitions are held monthly. Today from 2-6pm and tomorrow, December 21st, from 2-6pm, opening and closing receptions will be featuring the works of Beth Borum, Christine Connor, Michael Coon, Timothy Curtin, Barbara Hopkins, Faun Manne and Ginny Voedisch in a group exhibition. Free and open to the public.
We Carol Lot: Downwrite Holiday Show features solo seasonal tunes from established artists, with portions of proceeds going to Toys for Tots. The show is at the Metro on Saturday, December 20 and begins at 8pm, with doors opening at 7pm. This 18+ show has tickets for $15 in advance, and $17 at the door, with $40 VIP tickets available. No Media is a realtime performance, media, and improvisational art event held at High Concept Laboratories in Mana Contemporary, 2233 S. Throop St., tonight at 8pm. The event consists of matching random artists who are registered on the No Media website and given ten minutes to perform. Sign up is free and open to all artists.
