Gallery Talk & Opening Reception @ MoCP

The Museum of Contemporary Photography, 600 S. Michigan Ave., hosts a gallery talk and opening reception this afternoon for "What Remains and You and Me," an exhibition of work by artists Barbara Diener, Pao Houa Her, and Katja Stuke & Oliver Sieber. The gallery talk begins at 4pm and the reception at 5pm. Free.

Chicago Pedway Tour and Bar Crawl

Moxie Chicago, an LGBTQ , hosts Exploring Winter Walkways: Chicago Pedway Tour and Bar Crawl today from 5:30pm to 8:30pm as a fundraiser for Streetsblog Chicago. The tour begins at Infields, 111 N. State St, in the lower level of Macy's, and ends at Houlihan's, 111 E. Wacker St. Streetsblog writer John Greenfield will lead the tour, which costs $10. 21+

First Bites Bash @ Union Station

Tonight's kickoff celebration to Chicago Restaurant Week takes place at Union Station's Great Hall (500 W. Jackson St). Enjoy eats from 50+ chefs (Frontier, Moto, etc.), entertainment and drinks, all in the name of charity (the event benefits Inspiration Corporation). Event runs 5:30-8:30pm; tickets $125.

Onion City Film Festival @ Columbia College

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Onion City Experimental Film and Video Festival. Columbia College will host a plethora of films Jan 29-31 in Ferguson Auditorium, 600 S. Michigan Ave., beginning at 7:30pm. See the festival website for full schedule. Tickets are $8.

Chicago Psych Fest @ Hideout

The sixth annual Chicago Psych Fest runs Jan. 29-31 at the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave. Tonight's lineup features Circuit des Yeux, Natural Information Society, Cooper Crain of CAVE/Bitchin Bajas, and Tarnation, plus DJ sets by Karissa Talanian and video arts by brownshoesonly. Tickets are $10 per night, $25 for a three-day pass. Doors open at 8pm, show starts at 9pm. 21+
