West Heritage and Madewell are teaming up today for a night of snacks, drinks and shopping. For this event, there will be a 20% discount if you purchase $125 of more. The Madewell store is located at 932 N. Rush St., and the event is from 5 to 8pm.


Chicago Restaurant Week Begins

Enjoy specially priced prix fixe meals over the next two weeks (it's gotten longer as this annual event has become more popular) at a range of city and suburban restaurants, among them Allium, Blackbird and Table 52. Reservations can be competitive; plan ahead wisely. Event ends Feb. 12th.

The world is mystical, dangerous and delicious @ Western Exhibitions

Western Exhibitions, 845 W. Washington St., 2nd floor, holds an opening reception from 5 to 8pm this evening for their newest exhibition, The world is mystical, dangerous and delicious. The group exhibition features artists Elijah Burgher, Pamela Fraser, Dana Carter and Leah Mackin. The event is free and open to the public.

Funny Ha-Ha: Radio Sweethearts @ Hideout

Tonight at the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave., Funny Ha-Ha brings you a night of readings by Chicago radio personalities, including "Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me" host Peter Sagal, WGN radio host and RedEye Manager Amy Guth, The Score's Dan Bernstein, author and WXRT contributor Stacey Ballis, "Sound Opinions" producers Robin Linn and Jason Saldanha, Vocalo "Morning AMP" cohost Bryan Babylon, and WBEZ producer Justin Kaufmann. Onion City Film Festival @ Columbia College

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Onion City Experimental Film and Video Festival. Columbia College will host a plethora of films Jan 29-31 at Ferguson Auditorium, 600 S. Michigan Ave., beginning at 6:30pm. See the festival website for full schedule. Tickets are $8.

The Art of Connection Exhibition @ The Sullivan Galleries

Tonight from 7 to 9pm, the Sullivan Galleries, 33 S. State St., 7th floor, presents The Art of Connection, an exhibition featuring the work of art therapy students at SAIC. The opening reception is free, and the exhibition will be on view until Feb. 14.

You're Being Ridiculous @ Davenport's Piano Bar

You're Being Ridiculous is back this month with an all-new cabaret version of their long running story telling show. The show, musically directed by Allison Hendrix, features stories AND SONGS exploring LOVE from Allison Hendrix, Bill Howes, Jeremy Owens and Allison Shoemaker. The show begins at 8:00pm at Davenport's Piano Bar (1383 N. Milwaukee). Tickets must be reserved online and are $18 with a two drink minimum. There is no better way to end your winter blues.

Chicago Psych Fest @ Hideout

The sixth annual Chicago Psych Fest runs Jan. 29-31 at the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave. Tonight's lineup features Ono, Plastic Crimewave Syndicate, Partner, Dead Native, plus DJ sets by Travers Gauntt and video arts by brownshoesonly. Tickets are $10 per night, $25 for a three-day pass. Doors open at 8pm, show starts at 9pm. 21+

Goodbye to Language 3D @ Siskel Film Center

Jean-Luc Godard's film Goodbye to Language 3D will be premiering at the Gene Siskel Film Center, 164 N. State St., as part of a special series entitled, Godard: First Wave. The series includes 17 features and three shorts from the legendary filmmaker. Tonight after the 8pm showing, rare 15-minute shorts will be shown in 3D. General admission is $15, $10 for members and students.
