Table Talks: Chi-chi Nwanoku @ The Currency Exchange Cafe

The Currency Exchange Cafe in Washington park is hosting Table Talks, which are intimate lunches with visiting artists, and will be inviting Chi--chi Nwanoku today from 1-3PM. The event is free but RSVP is required. Email artsandpubliclife@uchicago.edu with "Table Talk: Chi-chi Nwanoku in the subject line, and include name and email address for anyone you are having as a plus one.

Soup & Bread @ the Hideout

Soup & Bread, the weekly wintertime soup-eating party benefiting a local food-related charity, is tonight at the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave. Volunteer cooks make the soup; you show up between 5:30 and 8pm to eat, enjoy and kick in a few bucks for the cause. Kids welcome with parents.

Dance Craze @ Reggies

Two Brothers Brewing presents a screening of Dance Craze, a documentary about the English ska scene and the 2 Tone record label, tonight at 7pm at Reggies, 2105 S. State St., in celebration of the launch of Night Cat hoppy wheat ale. FCS Soundsystem, Windy City Soul Club and Chuck Wren will spin ska and more. No cover, and every Two Brothers beer purchased gets you a ticket for a raffle. 21+

Kaki King @ Lincoln Hall

Kaki King is at Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave., tonight to perform her new work, The Neck Is A Bridge To The Body. This collaboration with visual performance creators Glowing Pictures drops the audience into an immersive and multimedia experience. Show starts at 8pm, tickets are $25. 21+
