Doris Salcedo, a Colombian artist, will be having her first retrospective at the Museum of Contemporary Art,until May 24th. The artist, whose work spans 30 years, will feature her installations and sculptural works. The MCA is located at 220 E. Chicago Avenue. 12$ general admission, Illinois residents have free admission on Tuesdays.
Women & Children First, 5233 N. Clark St., hosts a grand re-opening open house today from 10am to 7pm. Check out the renovated store and live music and light refreshments. Free.
Schubas, 3159 N. Southport Ave., holds its fourth annual Frozen Turkey Bowl in the parking lot just south of the building today beginning at 11am. Watch 24 teams of four will take turns sliding frozen turkeys at bowling pins. There'll be $2 PBRs to keep you warm. Free.

The second annual Two-Piece Fest runs from 1 to 11pm today at Chitown Futbol, 2343 S. Throop St. The lineup includes 22 duos from around the Midwest, playing on two stages. Tickets are $10 at the door.
The Burlington, 3425 N. Milwaukee Ave., hosts Frontwoman Fest today starting at 2pm. The lineup includes Bleach Party, Soddy Daisy, Haki, Impulsive Hearts, Spaces of Dissapearance, TalSounds, Baby Magic, Strawberry Jacuzzi, Axons, Yoko and The Oh No's, Deadbeat and Videobug. $7 donation at the door, with proceeds benefiting Girls Rock! Dunn Dunn Fest runs Feb. 19-21 at several venues, showcasing some great American music. Tonight's shows include:
• The Special Consensus and Henhouse Prowlers at FitzGerald's, 6615 W. Roosevelt Rd. in Berwyn, at 7pm. Tickets $20.
• Brown Bag, Bluefish Fellows and Juke Shakers at the Tonic Room, 2447 N. Halsted St., at 8pm. Tickets $10.
• Sister Sparrow & the Dirty Birds, Larkin Poe and Bonesetters at Beat Kitchen, 2100 W. Belmont Ave., at 8:30pm. Tickets $10 online, $12 at the door.
• IndigoSun, Sun Stereo and The Mainstays at Subterranean, 2011 W. North Ave., at 8:30pm. Tickets $10.
Swans' resurgence has delivered dark and amazing albums with last year's To Be Kind setting a new height for the band's work. Their music explore the void with a heavy tenderness. They will be making their way back to Chicago, this time performing at the beautiful Thalia Hall, 1807 S. Allport. Opening for them will be the worldly and ancient sounds of Xylouris White. Rising hip hop star Tink headlines a show tonight at the Metro, 3730 N. Clark St., with Verbal Kwest, Bebe O'Hare, Kd Young Cocky, Rob Metaphor, Phil G and Ain't You Skinny, plus a DJ set by Jay Illa. Doors open at 9pm. Tickets are $26 in advance, $31 at the door. 18+
London, Ontario's Single Mothers sound something like a combination of the Hold Steady and Death From Above 1979. It's loud and brash, and always charging. 2014's Negative Qualities is a barnburner. Single Mothers headline Schubas, 3159 N. Southport Ave. Dirty Nil opens at 10pm. The show's 18+ and $10 in advance, $12 at the door.
Minneapolis' Blind Shake are no strangers to Chicago, but in 2015 they visit with John Reis (Rocket From the Crypt, Hot Snakes, Drive Like Jehu) and amp up the surf-rock element of their garage/punk sound. Brokeback and the Bingers, both hailing from Chicago, open the show. It's 21+, $12 in advance, $14 at the door and starts at 10pm. The Empty Bottle's at 1035 N Western.
