South Side Irish Parade

Bring your family and friends to the annual South Side Irish Parade! The parade, which began in 1979, has keep itself alive, even reviving from the dead after a two-year hiatus because of rowdy parade-goers. Come early for a good spot along the route (on Western from 103rd to 115th St.) and parking! But remember, this is a family event, and there is a zero tolerance for open alcohol containers along the parade route. The parade steps off at noon. The Emerald Isle Mile , sponsored by Running Excels, will kick off at 11am from 112th and Western, finishing at 104th. Pre-registration is $20 or $25 on the day of the race.
