Put on your running shoes and register for Chicago's Quarter Marathon starting outside Soldier Field at 1410 S. Museum Campus Dr. The $60.25 registration fee includes an official embroidered royal blue quarter-zip technical shirt, performances by Shurz High School Marching Band and Steinmetz College Prep Marching Band, post-marathon celebration treats and, for the first time ever, all participants will receive a finisher's medal. The official start time is 9:15am, so don't be late!
The Music Box Theatre presents Easter weekend screenings of The Wizard of Oz. The screenings will feature a costume contest, so put on your ruby slippers for this event! Lisa Alvarado, Robert Burnier, Assaf Evron and Caroline Kent are the featured artists in the exhibition, Imaginary Landscapes opening at the Chicago Urban Art Society, Satellite Space. Curated by Allison Glenn, the exhibition raises questions concerning physical space, time and memory. The opening reception begins at 6 PM and is located at 2233 S. Throop St., 4th floor.
