The Chicago Industrial Arts and Design Center will be hosting their ribbon cutting ceremony and open house today from 10am to noon at 6433 N Ravenswood. You'll be able to tour their facilities, meet some of their instructors, learn about becoming a member, and more. There will be light refreshments and the event is free and open to the public.
More than 20 artists will be displaying their circus and burlesque prowess tonight at Untitled, 111th W. Kinzie St., as a fundraiser for the 2nd annual Chicago Contemporary Circus Festival. Live music by Lowdown Brass Band and a DJ at the all night dance party following the show. Doors open at 7pm, show begins at 9pm. Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door.
The Neo-Futurists present Trust Us/Screw You, an investigation into the tradition of American confidence men. The show will feature live music, and actual games of chance (so bring a dollar or two).
