The Real Kids @ Empty Bottle

Ex-Modern Lovers guitarist John Felice started the Real Kids in Boston in the mid-70s and they quickly became a regional rock'n'roll powerhouse. Unfortunately, they never reached the commercial success of his previous band. A Real Kids revival decades later got them more noticed for the contributions they'd made to punk rock in their time, much to the delight of many. Songs like "All Kindsa Girls" and "Who Needs You?" are way too good to have been dormant for so long. The Real Kids headline Hozac's Blackout Fest. Also on the bill are Minneapolis' Cozy, Milwaukee's Platinum Boys and Chicago's MAMA. Blackout Fest is $20 for the night or $40 for a 3-day ticket. It's 21+. The Empty Bottle's at 1035 N. Western.
