Vintage Garage Chicago holds its monthly meeting today from 10:00am to 5:00pm at 5051 North Broadway. One hundred vintage vendors will be selling fixtures, clothing, and jewelry from earlier eras. Full details at the Vintage Garage Chicago site.
The 18th annual Anime Central, the Midwest's largest anime, manga and Japanese pop culture, is at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare, 9300 Bryn Mawr Ave. in Rosemont, May 15-17. Check out your favorite anime artists, play games, see special performances, attend dances and admire all the great cosplay. The festival runs 10am to 4pm. Registration is $25 today, or $60 for a weekend pass.
The Chicago Underground Film Festival runs May 13-17 at the Logan Theatre, 2646 N. Milwaukee Ave. Tonight's programming includes shorts program 10 at 2pm,Evaporating Borders at 3pm, shorts program 11 at 4pm, shorts program 12 at 5pm, Living Stars at 6pm, Privilege and Obsession at 7pm, and Burnt in Memory, My Lover Has Steel and Street Lights for Eyes at 8pm. Tickets are $9 per program.

The Guild Literary Complex hosts Wink & Whisper, a benefit party reimagining a 1920s LGBT Cabaret, tonight at Uptown Underground, 4707 N. Broadway. The evening will include song, dance, comedy, burlesque, storytelling and more. Doors open at 6pm, and it all turns into a dance party at 9pm. Tickets are $75-200, with student tickets for $35 and tickets for just the dance for $12
