Bike the Drive @ Lake Shore Drive

Join 20,000 riders this morning from 5:30 to 10am in cycling a 30 mile loop on Lake Shore Drive -- without cars. Bike the Drive is an annual fundraiser benefiting the Active Transportation Alliance, Chicago's advocacy and education organization for better biking, walking and public transportation. Registration is $52 and includes free food, coffee, other beverages and snack items along the route; a post-ride festival in Grant Park with free swag; and unique chance to experience biking in Chicago like never before! The Randolph Street Market runs Saturday and today at the Plumbers Union Hall, 1340 W. Washington St., from 10am to 5pm. Shop for antique, vintage and modern furniture, jewelry, artwork and housewares. Admission is $8 in advance, $10 at the door; see the website for package deals.

Belmont-Sheffield Music Fest

The 31st annual Belmont-Sheffield Music Festival helps kick off street festival season Saturday and today, from noon to 10pm, on Sheffield Avenue from Belmont to Roscoe. Enjoy live music, street fest food and check out vendors. $5 suggested donation.

Mole de Mayo

The sixth annual Mole de Mayo, a mole festival and cooking competition, takes over 18th Street in Pilsen from Ashland to Blue Island Avenue Saturday and today from noon to 9pm. Chefs will be serving their own homemade mole dishes, and the festival will have two stages of musical entertainment, visual artists, traditional Azteca danza and lucha libre. Admission is free. Kirsten Leenaars' Notes on Empty Chairs @ MCA

The Museum of Contemporary Art presents Notes on Empty Chairs, a series of interactive performances by Chicago-based artist Kirsten Leenaars exploring themes of empathy, loss, and remembrance. Tonight's performance is from 6 to 7pm in the MCA Studio, 220 E. Chicago Ave. Free with museum admission.

You Are Here Festival

The You Are Here Festival, aka The Maze, makes its Chicago debut at Thalia Hall, 1807 S. Allport St., May 7-24. The festival takes place inside a maze, immersing attendees in the experience that includes light shows, art installations, audio experiments and live performances. Tonight's performers include DJ Taye (Teklife), Gel Set and Khaki Blazer. The fest runs from 9pm to midnight. Tickets are $10. 21+
