Millenium Art Festival @ Millenium Park

Esteemed as one of the best in the country, the Millennium Art Festival is sure not to disappoint. Bringing over 110 artists together, the festival will include an array of artwork from paintings to pottery. Live performances and food will also be available at the festival. Festival-goers will also be able to contribute their own creative vibes on a freestanding graffiti wall. Admission to the festival is free, and will be located at the junction of Lake Street and Michigan Avenue. The festival is open from 11am to 6pm today.

Maifest @ Lincoln Square

Lincoln Square's Maifest runs May 28-31 at Western and Lincoln. Enjoy live music, fresh German beer and food, and the camaraderie of several hundred of your best friends. Admission is free. The festival runs from 5 to 11pm tonight.

Chicago Science Fest

The Illinois Science Council presents Chicago Science Fest May 28-30. Today's programming at the National Museum of Health & Medicine Chicago, 175 W. Washington St., includes and exhibition of winning images from National Science Foundation and Northwestern University's scientific visualization contests at 5pm, followed at 6:30pm by screenings of the documentaries The Believers and This Has Been to Space accompanied by a Q&A with directors Clayton Brown and Monica Ross. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door.

Do Division

The 9th annual Do Division Street Fest and Sidewalk Sale resumes today at noon, with all the ingredients necessary for a rousing street fest. The event will include live music on two stages, local retailers and artisans, and even a "Family Fun Fest" (Saturday and Sunday only) area with pony rides and face painting, as well as kids' music. The Family Fun Fest area will be held along Hoyne Avenue from Crystal to Potomac, and Crystal from Hoyne Ave. to Damen Ave. A special section of the event, "Do Fashion," on Hoyne Street from Division to Crystal, will feature local and designer pop-up shops, as well as Do-Fashion Runway Shows. There will also be a Sidewalk Sale along Division Street from Damen to Ashland. Admission is free; however, a $5 donation is requested for admittance to benefit the event organizers, local schools, and the West Town Chamber of Commerce. The festival runs from noon to 10pm today.

Jaime Foster Solo Exhibition "Biophilia" @ Elephant Room Gallery

Tonight from 6:30-9:30PM, Jaime Foster will be exhibiting her smaller scale abstract paintings in her solo exhibition, "Biophilia", at the Elephant Room Gallery. Jamie's work is ethereal, nature inspired, and rich with neutral hues and movement. The work will be on view until July 3rd, 2015. The Elephant Room Gallery is located at 704 S. Wabash Avenue.

Danny Floyd & Jeff Prokash Opening Reception @ Cornerstone

Cornerstone, 1701 W. Division St. #2E, is presenting the works of Danny Floyd and Jeff Prokash in the exhibition 2 Tambours tonight from 7-9pm. Free.

Jessica Hopper Reading @ Quimby's

Pitchfork Senior Editor Jessica Hopper reads from her new book, The First Collection of Criticism by a Living Female Rock Critic, tonight at 7pm at Quimby's, 1854 W. North Ave. Read our review of The First Collection... in Transmission.

Vance Joy @ Metro

Vance Joy is a tough act to catch these days. The Australian singer songwriter seems to be perpetually selling out venues no matter what their size, and it certainly doesn't help that he's paired up with Taylor Swift for his summer tour. Fresh from selling out Lincoln Hall this past winter, he's headlining the Metro today for another sold out show at 8pm. Metro is located at 3730 N. Clark Street.

Vanessa Bayer @ Thalia Hall

The Onion and AV Club present "SNL's" Vanessa Bayer tonight at Thalia Hall, 1807 S. Allport Ave., as part of the 2nd Annual 26th Annual Comedy Fest. Local comedian Adam Burke opens. Tickets are $30. Doors open at 8pm, show's at 9pm.

Ecos del Pacifico Dance Party @ Old Town School

Ecos del Pacifico will be performing and teaching Afro-Colombian dance tonight at 8:30pm at Old Town School of Folk Music's Szold Music and Dance Hall, 4545 N. Lincoln Ave., as a part of the Old Town School's Global Dance Party Series. The weekly series offers participants an opportunity to experiment with various global styles. The evening is composed of a dance class, followed by two hours of live music where students can test out their new skills. Tickets are $12.
