The Moth StorySLAM @ Martyrs'
Martyrs' hosts the monthly meeting of The Moth StorySLAM, where audience volunteers are picked to give a five-minute story. The winner of tonight's event (as determined by a group of judges from the audience) goes on to face past StorySLAM winners in the Grandslam Championships. Just Eat It!: A Food Waste Story @ The Comfort Station
The Comfort Station, 2579 N. Milwaukee Ave., hosts a film screening of Just Eat It!: A Food Waste Story from 8 to 10pm. The film focuses on the millions of food that North Americans toss and trash without any further thought. The event is free and open to the public.
