It's never too early to look for the perfect gift for your loved ones, and if you're not the type to start your shopping on Black Friday, you should definitely head on over to the School of Art Institute of Chicago, 112 S. Michigan Ave., for their annual holiday art sale. For the last 27 years, the school has provided this opportunity for their students to sell and share pieces of their work from their collection, which includes sculptures, photographs, knitwear, jewelry and paintings. Admission for the sale is free. The students' artwork varies in price range, and all proceeds are placed toward the school's education programs. The sale is open from 10am to 5pm today.
The Show of Hands craft show runs Nov. 20-22 at Architectural Artifacts, 4325 N. Ravenswood Ave. Shop for holiday gifts from dozens of local artists and crafters. The show is open from 10am to 5pm today; admission is free.
Randolph Street Market runs its holiday market this weekend at Plumbers Union Hall, 1340 W. Washington St. Shop for antiques, vintage clothing, jewelry, art and collectibles from dozens of vendors. Admission is $8 in advance, $10 at the gate. It's open from 10am to 5pm today.
The Chicago Book Expo runs from 11am to 5pm today at Columbia College, 1104 S. Wabash Ave. Buy books from local presses and authors in the book fair and expo, attend workshops and discussions, and bring something to donate to the Open Books book drive. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
The inaugural Transfluential Film Festival runs from 12:30 to 7pm today at the Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted St., in the Hoover-Leppen Theatre on the third floor. Films will include Transgender Parents at 12:30pm; shorts featuring Azure Flame, Sam and Transmormon at 1:45pm; Beautiful by Night at 3pm, followed by a discussion titled "Are Trans & Drag Communities Connected?"; and Game Face at 5pm. $5 donation at the door.
Saba's show tonight at The Abbey has been canceled and moved to Township, 2200 N. California Ave. So, step out of your "Comfort Zone," and get on over there tonight. The Chicago native will be performing alongside close friends Monte Booker + Smino, Ravyn Lenae and NoName Gypsy. Tickets for the show are no longer available. Doors open at 6pm.

The Menzingers, a four-piece punk band that hails from Pennsylvania, are performing tonight at Metro, 3730 N. Clark St. The lineup includes Restorations, Pianos Become The Teeth and MEWITHOUTYOU. The 18 and over show starts at 7pm, and doors open an hour prior to the show. Tickets are $23.
