Football Performance Breakdown: Week 10

Fantasy Stud of the Week: Jay Cutler
Cutler's Thursday night performance was Elway-esque (common term in Denver, Merriam-Webster inclusion pending). Let's take a look at some of these stats:
- 447 total yards passing.
- An amazing 10.65 yards per attempt.
- 3 TDs to add to give him an impressive total of 18 on the year.
- 5-4 record for the Broncos.

Granted, they won, but many of Jay's great performances are for naught. He plays hard whether or not it matters. It's like putting on a fireworks show for blind people.

Fantasy Dud of the Week: Chris Johnson
The Titans wunderkind was completely shut down by the Bears on every rushing attempt he had. His 14 rushes for eight yards was pitiful, especially considering how rookie counterpart Matt Forte had a much better game against an equally daunting defense (126 total yards). Even if Johnson is as fast as a Ferrari, bad things will happen when a Ferrari keeps trying to drive through walls.

Real Life Stud of the Week: Julius Peppers
Peppers had seven tackles, three sacks and two fumbles forced. What more could you ask of a man?

Well yes, it would be nice if he could make exotic dishes. Moussaka would be impressive, but I'll settle for his beastly performance against the Raiders.

Real Life Dud of the Week: Sage Rosenfels
Remember how everyone thought the Texans could be the Cinderella to make a deep run before the season started? Remember how we thought Schaub and Andre and Mario Williams would bring this team success? Remember how we thought that Houston can finally step out of the Carr shadow and move on?

Sage Rosenfels remembers when you said that. He took those notions, put them in the toilet, flushed and laughed while doing it.
