Admit it, you've always had a fascination with fencing. The swordplay, the ninja-like outfits, The Princess Bride... Well, you're in luck. The Chicago Fencing Club is offering an beginners class at Parkview Lutheran Church, 3919 N. Monticello Ave., on April 29 at 7pm. Veteran instructors will teach you the basics of fencing over eight weeks. Learn footwork, attacks, parries and the rules of the sport, along with an introduction to sabre and epee. The class meets once a week for eight weeks. The class costs $150 and includes a fencing glove and an underarm protector.
