White Sox Find Their Mark: Take 2 Out Of 3 From Milwaukee

Despite an 4-8 home record the White Sox took their show on the road up I-94 to take on a former division foe, the Milwaukee Brewers. It was the first time these two met up since 2001. The Sox dropped the first game of this series on Friday night 7-2. They would bounce back and take the second game of the series 7-1.

They would look for Mark Buerhle to bring them to victory in game three. He would do his best bring his team a win, including hitting his first career home run. He went six innings surrendered seven hits, four earned runs and struck out five. Unfortunately he would not stick around to get the win. Buerhle gave up a season high three home runs, but the Sox would go on to win 5-4 despite his less then stellar pitching performance.

AJ Pierzynski played the hero in this one getting a game winning RBI single off the all-time saves leader Trevor Hoffman. It was the first time this season Hoffman gave up a run this season. They were without Jermaine Dye in this one as he was suffering from a sore right calf. They did however get Paul Konerko back, who has been bothered by a sore right thumb.

With the Tigers losing the Sox gain a game and they are now four and a half games out of first and are 30-34. They return back to Chicago to take on their crosstown rivals the Cubs. Friends and family will be pitted against one another in this intercity war. John Danks (4-5) will take on Carlos Zambrano (4-2). The all-time series is tied 33-33 after both teams swept one another at their respective parks last season. The first game at Wrigley is Tuesday night at 7:05 p.m. CT.
