WCR All-Stars Take on Charm City
You win some, you lose some. And the WCR All-Stars are determined to bounce back and begin winning.
The WCR All-Stars started their 2009 season with an excruciatingly close game on July 25 against the Philly Roller Girls Liberty Belles, ending in a loss for the All-Stars 70-69.
But while the All-Stars are just getting their season started, Baltimore's Charm City Roller Girls have one of the busiest schedules in the national league--they'll have 15 bouts (for 2009) already under their belt by the time they hit Chicago. Could Charm City give our gals a run (or skate) for their money? Check it out on Saturday, Aug. 29 at the UIC Pavilion (525 S. Racine Ave) at 7p.m. Before that, the new "B" team--The Second Wind-- will play Cleveland's Burning River All-Stars in a preliminary bout starting at 5:40pm.
